The Most Selfish Thing a Human Being Could Ever Do

Real quick before reading further, what do you personally think is the most selfish thing a human could ever do?… I suspect everyone reading this is going to have different answers & honestly, I feel there are no right or wrong ones because selfishness varies depending on the context of the situation & can be viewed from a scale of low, moderate, to extreme levels.

‎The most selfish thing I believe a Human can do is HAVING A CHILD without the necessary resources to adequately support his or her livelihood. It sounds like common sense to not do something like this right?… Well you’d be surprised at the amount of people who do this here in Africa. I’ve done some stupendously dumb things in my lifetime so far so I’m definitely not speaking from a high horse. However I’m proud to say this is a level of dumb that even I have never reached.

‎On one hand, you could argue & say that most people’s births in general are accidental results of: a couple who start off experimenting with “just the tip” (IYKYK), a night of drinking at the bar leading to a one night stand (more likely), or in some extreme cases rape. Idk the stats on these but I would be highly inclined to agree with you. I seriously doubt there are many couples that sit down & say to each other “okay we now have 8 years worth of financial savings, on Wednesday let’s have sex so we can procreate; the time is now right”…

‎Maybe that’s how they do it in the Western World, I don’t fucking know. But what I do know is that most Africans don’t have the benefit of government assistance like some people in the Western World. So my point is, some of these African dudes need to stop saying “oops” & just shrugging their shoulders & leaving it up to “GOD”  everytime they nut inside a woman.

‎As African men, we need to take the use of pregnancy preventative measures more seriously. It can easily get very depressing if I go deeper & start talking about the horrors i’ve seen parents putting their kids through. All because they couldn’t afford to have them in the 1st place. For instance, sending them to school with holes in their shoes, clothes, raggedy book bags, & inadequate food etc… Nobody gives a damn when you’re an adult if you choose to walk around like that, but kids in school can be very cruel to each other. Sadly after embarrassing their kids like this most parents still can’t figure out why their kids start acting out or become extremely recluse & emotionally bottled up as they grow older.

‎So guys do us all a favour, the next time you go out for a night out at a bar & you want to smash. Pass by the clinic in the afternoon, walk in and grab a handful of condoms & walk out, you won’t get arrested I promise you. Let’s stop unwanted pregnancies, bringing a Soul into this world is nothing to play with.
