Crackhead Activities(part 1)

In recent years, there has been a rise in young people smoking crack especially in the ghetto.  Crackheads are such an interesting bunch, they are a nuisance, & will literally steal anything no matter how ridiculous just to fund their habit. They also seem to have their own Lingo, if there are a bunch of crackheads gathered together you will never understand wtf they’re saying to each other even though they’re speaking in your own native language..

‎Also, it is as if whenever they smoke, they are literally smoking their brain matter away. I’m going to speak on two instances of the most ridiculous things I’ve witnessed a crackhead doing which highlights my point. In this entry I will speak on the 1st instance hence (part 1) then in another entry I’ll speak on the 2nd instance.

‎Some years ago I attended a funeral at the home of one of my neighbors who passed away. Usually our funerals are more about celebrating the dead rather than full on mourning. So we usually have lots of singing, drums, dancing, and alcohol involved all throughout the night until the deceased is buried the following day. the houses in the ghetto have bathrooms on the outside of the house, so we were all gathered in the front & backyard of this man’s home singing and dancing, while the women where inside the house “protecting” the coffin with the man inside it (It’s an African tradition thing).

‎unbeknown to us there was a crackhead among us. I don’t know much about crack use but I know they use those energy saving light bulbs amongst other things to create their “pipe” to smoke out of. This dude went into the bathroom and unscrewed a lit bulb… All of a sudden we all saw the bathroom light go dark, they stopped playing the drums and all of us men went to see what was going on, we all thought it was a couple discreetly having sex in there (a very common thing at these ceremonies). Only to find this scrawny guy busy fixing his smoking pipe in the dark. I don’t know if the guy thought nobody would notice he stole the light bulb or maybe he just didn’t care. Long story short they beat the crap out of him… to the point were I actually thought tomorrow morning we were going to be burying two people at the same time.
